How do you pronounce your name?

Thank you for asking! My name is Katie MacLean, pronounced like Kay-tee Mack-Lane. 

(No, Katie isn't short for anything. Yes, the "L" in MacLean is capitalized. If you're writing my name in all capitals, please write it as KATIE MacLEAN).

Would you join my Actual Play/Stream/TTRPG?

I am always game to perform on an Actual Play! While I regrettably do turn down some invitations as a matter of scheduling, I find great joy in playing with respectful, inclusive, and communicative tables and would be thrilled to roll with yours!

If you are interested in rights or permissions to reprint, produce, or otherwise use any of my published works, please email me at katiemacleanwrites@gmail.com and let me know 1) Who you are, 2) The proposed name and date of the publication, and 3) Your pay-rate for reprinted work.
 

How can I contract you to submit a piece of work for my publication or anthology? Are you available to collaborate on creative projects?  

 

I am open to writing a limited number of original short works for literary magazines, anthologies, and collections each year. If you would like to commission a piece, please email me at katiemacleanwrites@gmail.com and let me know 1) Who you are, 2) What publication you represent, 3) The proposed topic and length of the work you are seeking 4) Your deadline, and 5) The payment rate. For anthologies, when available, I would also prefer to know who else’s work will be included. 

 

On a limited basis, I am open to collaborations with established professionals on comics, ttrpgs, video games, screenplays, stageplays, or radio dramas. Please email me at katiemacleanwrites@gmail.com with a brief biography of your work and who you are and a brief (no more than 500 words) proposal for the project, including what participation you’re seeking from me.

I’m generally happy to be interviewed, though I do sometimes turn down opportunities as a matter of either time or safety. In general, I’m happy to speak on my own work and research pro bono, but appreciate fair remuneration if you're seeking commentary on anyone else’s work/ research or if you wish to include an excerpt from my print work.
